Kim began working for the WV LTAP in 1999. Over the years, she has learned a lot about the world of public works and she is a co-manager of the program.
Kim has over twenty-years of practical experience in many communication areas, such as, public relations, event planning, and writing/editing. She holds a bachelor of science in journalism with a concentration in advertising and a minor in psychology from West Virginia University. Additionally, Kim holds a master of arts in counseling. She teaches several communication related topics for the LTAP audience, including business writing, effective communication, and customer service – all focused for public works. She realizes the important role of communication in everything from worker safety to job effectiveness to efficiency. As a former facilitator of the FranklinCovey Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, Kim incorporates many of these foundational principles in her training and interactions.
