OVERVIEW


This class provides a more in-depth approach to drainage,
compared to the RS I drainage class. The instructor will delve
deeper into topics such as the use of geo-synthetic products, retention/detention, and culvert sizing. Erosion control and worker safety will also be addressed. Topics will be discussed from an application perspective, not a policy perspective.



OBJECTIVES


Upon completion of this class, attendees should be able to:

  • Understand water and its effects

  • Understand the importance of good draining

  • Understand maintenance of drainage facilities


AUDIENCE


This class should be of interest to supervisors, laborers, technicians, engineers, safety personnel, and others involved with designing, installing, or working with roadway drainage systems.
